This sequence of 35 pictures was originally shown in an exhibition at the
930 Art Center in Louisville, Kentucky in late 2009. The title is a tip of the hat to
my dad who covered pipes for a living – he was an asbestus worker. The first
picture in the series happens to be the last pair of my dad’s work boots, the ones
he had when he retired.
The pictures really have nothing to do with covering pipes nor with balls or
galas of any kind… but then again…
